By Ochogwu SundayGermany’s likely new Chancellor, Friedrich Merz has assured Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of his support regarding the ongoing war. Friedrich gave the assurance on Friday shortly after Zelenskyy clashed with President Donald Trump at the Oval Office in the White House. DAILY POST reports that the Uranian President was in the United States to sign the minerals deal with President Trump. However, authorities have confirmed that the formal agreement will not go ahead for the time being. This is due to a heated exchange that occurred between Zelenskyy, Trump and his Vice, JD Vance during a conversation regarding the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine. Some European countries have expressed support for Zelenskyy, blaming Russia for the lingering war. Reacting to the clash, the Germany’s likely new Chancellor wrote on his X handle, “Dear Volodymyr @zelenskyyua, we stand with #Ukraine in good and in testing times. “We must never confuse the aggressor and victim in this terrible war.”
