Besigye has appeared before Magistrate, Justine Atukwasa, who refused to entertain pleas by Besigye’s lawyers for a bail application last week.

The Magistrate however adjourned the case to 2 PM after she was informed that Besigye lawyers were not in Court.

FDC vice president Sam Njuba told the our reporter at the Court that Besigye’s lawyers were not aware that their client was to appear in Nakasongola Court.

Besigye relatives and FDC officials have been allowed to talk to him.

Besigye was last week charged with unlawful assembly at Nabweru Court after he was arrest near the Mulago roundabout over walk-to- work demonstration.

The former Presidential candidate was jailed with three of his supporters. More details to follow shortly
