Anambra: Ex Gov Chris Ngige defeats Dora Akunyili in senatorial re-vote

New Nigerian Politics that confirm that ex Anambra Governor Dr. Chris Ngige has defeated Prof. Dora Akunyili in a NASS election re-vote in Anambra Central senatorial district. Details of Ngige’s win are still coming in but an electoral officer who spoke to NNP stated that the people voted enmass for the former governor much out of apathy for the way he was treated than for his platform. The voting was not without its hitches as in some localities such as Obosi and Nkpor in Odemili North Council election materials arrived late that resulted in late accreditation of voters.
