A Fool for a Governor: Corpers should no longer be exposed to danger – Yuguda
Bauchi, Latest Politics, NYSC (National Youth Service Corp), State News Friday, May 6th, 2011Governor Isa Yuguda of Bauchi State has said members of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, should no longer be exposed to danger.
Receiving a delegation of Northern Nigerian Union of Domestic Observers in Bauchi, the governor said whenever corps members were exposed to danger, their parents were being deprived of the opportunity of enjoying the fruits of their labour in training their children.
Some NYSC members were killed in the state in the riots that followed the outcome of the last presidential election.
The Governor sympathized with the parents of the corps members who were killed during the riots and pledged that all the perpetrators who are now in Police custody would be prosecuted and that his administration would continue to give priority to the protection of life and property of the residents of the state irrespective of ethno_religious differences.
