Adamawa gov gives looters 12 hours to return stolen items

Hindi Livinus, Yola

Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State has given looters 12 hours to return all stolen items carted away in the unrest that followed the #EndSARS protests against police brutality.

Fintiri, who said looters have up to 6 am on Wednesday to return all looted items, threatened to issue an executive order to enforce a house to house search to enable recovery of every looted item.

The governor, in a broadcast to citizens of the state on Tuesday, made an appeal to the looters to return whatever they took from public and private warehouses and homes to the nearest police station and traditional rulers house.

He said, “This ultimatum will expire at 6am on Wednesday, 28th October 2020, after which I will sign an Executive Order for a house-to-house search to commence by 7am of the same day.
