Allah has destined Sanusi to be Emir – Nyako (Is it Allah or money?)
Adamawa, Headlines, Kano, State News Wednesday, June 11th, 2014HE Adamawa State governor, Murtala Nyaku, has described the appointment of Sanusi Lamido Sanusi as the new Emir of Kano as well deserved, saying Allah had destined that he (Sanusi) would be the 14th emir of the ancient city.
He said this when he paid a condolence visit to Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso and Sanusi over the death of Alhaji Ado Bayero and to congratulate Sanusi on his appointment as the new emir, at the Government House in Kano.
Nyako told the new emir that “God Almighty has destined that you are going to be the 14th emir of Fulani dynasty in the state,” and prayed to Allah to prolong his reign so as to transform the state.
While thanking the state governor for choosing Lamido Sanusi, who has experience and is knowledgeable, Governor Nyako prayed to Allah to grant the soul of the late emir eternal rest.
In his response, the new emir disclosed that there was a cordial relationship between Kano and Adamawa emirates.
He described the death Ado Bayero as a great loss not only to Kano or Nigeria, but also to the entire African continent because he was a member of the African Traditional and Religious Organisation.
He said: “We lost a leader and father who was recognised by his subjects as a just, prudent and pious leader.”
