Aregbesola’s victory a testimony to good governance –Aliyu

Niger State Governor, Babangida Aliyu
Niger State Governor, Babangida Aliyu, on Monday ascribed the victory of Rauf Aregbesola, in the Osun State governorship election on Saturday governorship to hard work and commitment to grassroots politics.
Aliyu who made his position known in a press statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Israel Ebije, in Minna, urged Aregbesola to see his victory as a call to do more for the people.
He said, “His victory is a reward for his dedication to good governance.”
He also commended the entire process and conduct of all stakeholders in the election.
He said it was an indication that true democratic process was good for development.
Aliyu also congratulated political parties in Niger State over successful primaries in the Niger East Senatorial by-election where former deputy governor of Niger, Mr. Shem Zagbayi, emerged for the PDP, while Bar. David Umaru emerged for the APC.
He said, “Politics is about service not selfishness or hypocrisy. A PDP member interested in elective position must be ready to sacrifice personal ambition for the good of the people.”
