Don’t be used by politicians, DG warns corps members

Director General, National Youth Service Corps, Brig Johnson Olawunmi has warned the Batch A corps members against becoming tools for politicians to rig elections as they (corps members) will be election officials come 2015.
Olawunmi who was speaking at the swearing-in-ceremony of the 2014 Batch A corps members in Lagos said that many politicians who are aspiring for political offices will attempt to induce them with financial reward to rig elections adding that only corps members with integrity will shun them.
“I will not like to hear that any of you have gotten involved with politicians to manipulate the electoral process. Any gift that is not from NYSC, must not be collected.”
Olawunmi added “Whatever you need during that period will be provided for by the NYSC and not any politician.”
