Edo Guber: INEC uploads 73.67% of results on IREV

By Francis Ugwu

The Independent National Electoral Commission has uploaded over 73.67 per cent of the results from the Edo governorship election onto its Result Viewing Portal.

DAILY POST reports that 3329 results out of 4,519 polling units where elections held in the state have been uploaded.

Recall that Anugbum Onuoha, the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in Edo, had assured that the governorship election results would be transmitted electronically.

Onuoha spoke in an interview on Arise Television on Saturday, stressing that only a poor network could hinder the transmission of results to the viewing portal (IReV).

“We have trained the operators for the BVAS. They are set. BVAS is to accredit the voters, to know the total number of voters that will vote at that level, that polling unit.

“After that, then the voters will now start voting. At the end of the day, they will count the results, and it will be uploaded to our IReV.,” he assured.
