Enugu: Jonathan leads in Enugu
Anambra, Elections 2011, State News Saturday, April 16th, 2011CHIEFTAINS and stalwarts of PDP in Enugu state virtually delivered votes from various polling centres within their electoral wards to President Goodluck Jonathan in Saturday’s presidential poll.
Results released at the polling centres where the party chieftains voted last night indicated that Jonathan won convincingly with some delivering 100 percent of the votes to PDP.
Former National Chairman of PDP, Dr Okwesilieze Nwodo, Governor Sullivan Chime from Udi council area, former Senate President, Chief Ken Nnamani from Enugu South, Minister of Aviation, Dr Fidelia Njeze, Senators Ike Ekweremadu and Ayogu Eze and Chief Anayo Onwuegbu all delivered the votes to Jonathan.
Even the Nkanu West base of the former Governor of the state, Senator Chimaroke Nnamani, which voted massively for People for Democratic Change, PDC in the National Assembly polls, yesterday, turned in their votes for PDP.
Although collation of results were still going on at the various local government collation centres by press time, there are clear indications that PDP swept the polls in the state with the CPC and ACN scoring single digits in most centres.
