F/Eagles bus crashes in Ghana

A slight bus crash at the main gate of the Tema Sports Stadium on Wednesday almost marred the victory of the Nigerian U-20 national team as they beat the Black Satelites of Ghana 2-0 in an international friendly.

The Flying Eagles have been preparing for their African Youth Championship which is coming up in Senegal in March, and the Ghana’s friendly is part of their final build up, but Usman Hassan Saleh was the only one injured in what was described as ‘little crash’.

Manu Garba’s lads were returning to their M Plaza Hotel residence when the VIP Marcopolo bus conveying the team crashed into the main gate of the stadium.

The players were still jubilating their victory over their West African counterparts according to reports when a shattering noise of the screen got their attention and Saleh hit by the broken glass that got into his eyes and was attended to by the team doctor and some concerned Ghanaians.
