First Lady devastated over death of foster mother
First Ladies, Headlines, Patience Jonathan Wednesday, July 24th, 2013FIRST Lady, Mrs Patience Jonathan, is said to have received the news of the death of her mother in ghastly motor accident with sadness and grief.
The woman was said to be the foster mother of the wife of the president.
Presidency source revealed in Abuja, on Tuesday, that Patience, who is away in Geneva, Switzerland, was utterly devastated by the demise of Mrs Iwari-Oba in a motor accident on Elele road in Rivers State, on Monday.
There was no official word on the death of the woman popularly called Mama Sisi, but the First Lady is expected to cut short her visit to Switzerland, so as to oversee the burial arrangements.
The late Mrs Iwari-Oba was said to have been on her way from Okrika, Rivers State, to Bayelsa State, when she met her death.
