In Picture: Hackers deface Nigerian Army Education Corp’s website
Armed Forces, Latest Politics Monday, January 16th, 2012
Hackers operating under the identity of NaijaCyberHactivists on Monday morning defaced the website of the Nigerian Army Education Corps.
The website, www.hqnaec.org, was defaced amid the lingering logjam over the Federal Government’s removal of fuel subsidy on January 1, 2012.
They said it was in response to the government’s deployment of soldiers in parts of Lagos State.
They also posted pictures of people allegedly shot dead by security agents during last week’s protests across the country.
The hackers posted this message: “Greetings Nigerian Army
We are NaijaCyberHactivists.
We and the great people of Nigeria ask for nothing but your immediate evacuation from our streets.
We shall not fold our arms and watch you harrass innocent protesters.
Please tackle Boko Haram and leave innocent protesters ALONE
Your failure to do just placed you in our cross-hairs.”
