Jonathan wins at presidential Villa polling station
Elections 2011, Goodluck Jonathan (2010-present), Presidency Saturday, April 16th, 2011President Goodluck Jonathan Saturday swept the two polling stations at the presidential Villa defeating his closest rival, the Congress For Progressive Change with more than half of the votes cast.
In one of the polling stations which is less than one hundred meters from the Pilot gate of the presidential Villa, president Jonathan polled 630 votes to the 318 votes polled by the congress for Progressive Change.
At the second polling station which lies across the presidential Villa stores, president Jonathan polled 602 votes to the CPC’s 374 votes.
The announcement of the results sparked off a celebration amongst supporters of president Jonathan who took to the street celebrating.
