Key Boko Haram commanders killed in Borno airstrikes

By Ochogwu SundayTroops of Operation Hadin Kai, supported by Nigerian Army and Nigerian Air Force platforms, have reportedly neutralised several key Boko Haram terrorist commanders in Borno State. The development followed major airstrikes during operation in the Bama Local Government Area of the state. Popular security expert, Zagazola Makama revealed in a post on his official X handle that the airstrikes were conducted on December 25, 2025. Quoting reliable sources, Makama said no fewer than 10 Boko Haram terrorists were killed in the initial airstrike. He identified those neutralized as one Abul Kaka, Ibn Mu’azu, Abu Muhammad, Ba Alhaji, Bakura, Modu, Abu Hassan, Kaka Alai, Abba Yakariye and Bamusa. Makama said another terrorist, identified simply as Ubaida, sustained serious injuries during the airstrikes. According to him, the security sources added that a subsequent follow-up strike by Nigerian Air Force assets led to the instant killing of three additional terrorists. DAILY POST reports that the United States military also operated in some parts of the North on Christmas night, bombing some terrorist camps.
