Kwara Police Deploy 2,500 Men
Kwara, Nigerian Police, State News Saturday, October 1st, 2011THE police in Kwara State have deployed 2,500 men, as well as local vigilance operatives, to keep the peace as the country celebrates the 51st independence anniversary.
The Commissioner of Police, Mr. Peter Gana, told journalists, on Friday, in Ilorin, that this was in compliance with an order from the force headquarters in Abuja, to improve security in the face of threats by the Boko Haram sect.
