Militant group condemns attack on Warri journalists

WARRI—A militant group, Niger Delta Liberation Force, NDLF, has criticised the attack on journalists in Warri, Delta State, by a group of ex-militants on Tuesday.
NDLF, in a statement by its spokesperson, ‘Captain’ Mack Anthony, described the invasion of Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Correspondents’ Chapel, Warri Office, by supposed ex-militants as unacceptable.
He said: “NDLF condemns in strong terms, the alleged attack on Warri Correspondents Chapel secretariat by protesting miscreants, who posed as ex-militants because of the non-availability of reporters to grant them interview at the time they called at the office.
“We warn those youths, who parade themselves as ex-militants and at the same time, cause insecurity in Niger Delta in the name of ex-militants, to desist from doing so in the interest of their lives as their serial protest had drawn the anger of NDLF ex- soldiers.”
