Perpetrators of violent attacks in North insane – Mark

President of the senate, David MarkPresident of the senate, David Mark

Senate President David Mark on Tuesday in Abuja described sponsors and perpetrators of the violent attacks on innocent Nigerians in the northern part of the country as insane.

Mark, according to a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Paul Mumeh, stated this at the 53rd Independence anniversary church service at the St. Mulumba Catholic Chaplaincy, Apo, Abuja.

He described the insurgency in the north as a wrong way of life and recommended the perpetrators for a psychiatric test.

“Those who are perpetrating violence attacks and all those behind it need to re-examine themselves . They are insane and truly abnormal,” he said.

The Senate President noted that Nigeria needed serious prayers for peace, unity and love to reign supreme in the country.

He also canvassed an egalitarian society of equal opportunities for all Nigerians where everybody would strive to do things that can unite the country.

He said, “We also need to ask God to give us a glorious future. A nation where no one is oppressed; where those in positions of authority will do it to the best of their abilities and with the fear of God.”

Mark also noted that “very often, Nigerians crave for positions but undermine the huge responsibility of service to the people.”

He counselled his fellow leaders to strive towards working for the people and make progress as a nation.
