Prof. Dora Akunyili loses to Ngige again
Anambra, Headlines, State News Friday, October 21st, 2011THE election petition tribunal sitting in Awka, the Anambra State capital, has dismissed the petition filed by Professor Dora Akunyili of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), challenging the election of Dr Chris Ngige of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), over non-compliance and inability to file and serve form TF008.
The tribunal, headed by Justice Onajite Kujebola, in its ruling, held that pre-hearing information sheet on form TF008 was a condition precedence for the commencement of pre-hearing, which must be filed and served on all the parties within seven days.
Justice Kujebola ruled that non-compliance with the time of filing and serving all the parties stripped the tribunal the jurisdiction to continue with the petition and, therefore, dismissed the petition.wp_posts
