PSC promotes 72 senior police officers including 14 commissioners of police & 20 DCP’S

The Police Service Commission has approved the promotion of seventy two (72) senior police officers including 14 Commissioners of Police and 20 Deputy Commissioners of Police.
The promotion was part of the decisions of the Commission at its 12th Plenary Meeting held in Abuja on Wednesday, May 26th 2015 and presided over by its Chairman, Dr. Mike Okiro (rtd IG).
A statement from the Commission said “The Commission approved the promotion of 14 Deputy Commissioners of Police to the next rank of Commissioners of Police after they appeared before the Commissions Plenary and were interviewed.
“20 ACPs were promoted to the rank of DCP while two CSPs were promoted to the rank of ACP.
“Another three CSPs were appointed acting ACP, one SP promoted to CSP while 30 DSPs were promoted to SP, one ASP to the next rank of DSP while. One Inspector was appointed acting ASP. “The promotions take immediate effect”.
