Sambo’s aide heartbroken over actress Nkiru Sylvanus
Abia, Headlines, Imo, Raw Politics, State News Thursday, December 20th, 2012His name is Alhaji Umar and he works in the presidential villa. His love (some will say obsession) for star actress, Nkiru Sylvanus is an open secret in the Federal Capital Territoty and his home state, Kaduna. This guy, who is one of the trusted aides of Vice President Namadi Sambo, loves Nkiru and is willing to marry her even though he already has a wife. But it seems the Abia State-born actress hasn’t given him the nod yet.
This is despite Umar’s show of love and affection, which includes buying her a house in Abuja and some highly prized wonder on wheels. During the period some antagonists of the actress worked against her being appointed as a Special Assistant to Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State, this Villa staff stood by her. Those against the actress had pointed to the fact that she wasn’t an indigene of Imo state.
They equally argued that Nkiru who participated in Okorocha’s campaigns was close to Uloma, the governor’s daughter having emerged winner of The Face of Hope contest she organised for charity years back. The opposition to her candidature notwithstanding, Alhaji Umar talked some of his big shot friends into speaking with the Imo helmsman.
And when Nkiru got the post, Umar was over the moon, he even took a full-page advert to congratulate her. This is why most of his close associates have been worried about him since the news hit town that the talented actress who works as Special Assistant on Lagos Matters to the Imo governor was kidnapped in Owerri. According to Uptown sources, Umar is worried sick and has been downcast since the beginning of the week.
