Former lawmaker, Shehu Sani has described the people of eastern part of the country as hypocrites and cowards for failing to condemn the activities of murderers in their region. Sani, on his Twitter page, said the easterners condemned the murder in Sokoto, but lacked the courage and conscience to condemn the murderous activities of gunmen and unknown gunmen in their area. He also lamented their inability to condemn the slaughter of a legislator in the east, describing act of show of hypocrisy and cowardice. Sani tweeted: “You condemn ‘the murder’ in Sokoto but you don’t have the courage and the conscience to condemn the murderous activities of Gunmen and unknown Gunmen in your area (shokoto), including the slaughter of a legislator; that is hypocrisy and cowardice.” He also said the threat against Pastor William Kumuyi that led to the cancellation of his crusade in Aba was a condemnable act. He added that the people in the east should have the courage to say so. |
