Super Eagles Coach, Gernot Rohr, accepts NFF’s contract, conditions

(NNP) Gernot Rohr, coach of the Super Eagles, will continue as the coach of the national side after accepting the contract offered to him by his employer, the Nigerian Football Federation and it’s accompanying terms and conditions. Included in the contract is an agreement that the German tactician will reside in Nigeria and will be paid in the local currency.
The 66 year-old coach who has coached three other African teams, Niger, Burkina Faso and Gabon, indicated that due to the ongoing pandemic, he forgave three month’s salary to assist his employer weather the coronavirus storm. Rohr has coached the Super Eagles since 2016 and led the team to the FIFA World Cup championship in Russia in 2018. The team did not qualify for the knockout stages only managing one win against Iceland.
