House, Legislature Friday, September 30th, 2011The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Honourable Aminu Tambuwal, on Thursday, inaugurated 89 standing and special committees of the House with a charge that the committees’ leaders should hit the ground running by ensuring that government ministries, departments and agencies (MDAs) utilise their allocations effectively and effici-ently.
The speaker also emphasised the need for the committees to work in collaboration with their counterpart committees in the Senate saying, “cooperation between both chambers of the National Assembly will help expedite the passage of bills and achieve a more effective National Assembly.”
