U.S. Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, says there will be a “smooth transition to a second Trump administration”
American Politics, Headlines, NNP News Tuesday, November 10th, 2020(NNP) The U.S. Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, stirred controversy on Tuesday when he stated in news briefing to the media that there will be a “smooth transition to a second Trump administration.” This statement comes against the obvious fact that Biden won the presidency and according to the US constitution, should be sworn in as president on January 20.Trump refusing to concede the elections, has instituted a raft of lawsuits to challenge the results of the election in many states. Election experts, however, note that Trump has presented zero evidence of wide spread fraud and is expected to vacate the Oval Office on January 20 regardless of his unsubstantiated claims. Trump faces a host of legal actions with the loss of his immunity on January 20.
