11 Ministers, 8 Governors converge in Washington DC
American Politics, Governors, Latest Politics Monday, October 15th, 2012No fewer than 11 key sector Ministers and 8 Nigerian governors
are expected to attend a two-day US-Nigeria infrastructure
conference which opens today Wednesday October 10, 2012 in
Washington, DC.
The conference which is titled “Building the Infrastructure for
Nigeria’s Vision 20:2020” would provide opportunity for each
minister to showcase potentials of their ministries before American
investors.
The ministers who will be attending the conference are:
Mike Onolememen, Minister of Works, Amb. Olugbenga Ashiru of
Foreign Affairs, Senator Idris Umar, Minister of Transport, Princess
Stella Oduah, Minister of Aviation and Amal Pepple, Minister of
Land, Housing and Urban Development.
Others are: Sarah Reng Ochekpe, Minister of Water Resources,
Senator Bala Mohammed, Minister of Federal Capital Territory,
Omobola Johnson, Minister of Communication Technology, Arc
Musa Sada, Minister of Mines, Steel and Solid Minerals and
Olusegun Aganga, Minister of Trade and Investment.
African Examiner gathered that 8 governors have been lined up for
Wednesday and Thursday program to discuss specific projects
opportunities in their states.
The governors are: Governor Ibikunle Amosun, Ogun State,
Governor Rotimi Amaechi, Rivers State, Governor Rabiu Musa
Kwankwaso, Kano State, Governor Peter Obi, Anambra State.
Others are: Governor Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo (Gombe State)
Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura, (Nasawara State) Governor
Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa State, (Kaduna) Governor Isa Yaguda
(Bauchi State) Governor Henry Seriake Dickson (Bayelsa State.)
The conference is being organized by the Corporate Council of
Africa (CCA) in conjunction with the Nigerian embassy in
Washington DC.
