2015: Buhari counsels INEC on credible election
INEC Politics, Latest Politics Sunday, May 18th, 2014Former Head of state and presidential candidate in 2011 general elections Major General Muhammad Buhari has counselled the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) to organise a credibly free and fair elections come 2015.
He made the plea in Boko, Zamfara State while commissioning a 78 km road project executed by the state government as part of the 3rd year anniversary of Gov Yari’s administration yesterday.
Buhari charged that for democracy to stand the test of time, peoples votes must count, saying that,’the next election is very important for the sustenance of democratic norms.
The former presidential candidate who did not say whether he would contest the next presidential election, however counselled the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) to organise a credible, free and fair elections.
On the contruction of the 78km road which was linking several villages and town the former Head of state remarked that it would afford the rural dwellers the opportunity to bring their goods to the market.

He noted that elected leaders should always strive to provide meaningful developmental projects to those who elected them in order to justify the trust reposed in them.
