Nigeria fails to qualify for Nations Cup as Guinea tie Eagles 2-2 in Abuja

Last minute goal by Guinea to tie the Nigerians at 2-2 sealed Nigeria’s fate in the next Nations Cup to be jointly held by Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.  The Syli Nationale of Guinea have picked up the lone ticket at the expense of the home team Super Eagles.  This means Nigeria will miss the continental fiesta for the first time since 1996 when it refused to defend it’s trophy and was suspended by CAf. Stay tuned.
