Boko Haram kills Borno Lawmaker
Boko Haram, Borno, Latest Politics, State News Thursday, October 27th, 2011A member of the Borno state house of assembly, Hon Modu Bintube has been
shot dead by a gun man in the presence of his aides and supporters.
Reports say the lawmaker was shot when he was about to enter his vehicle at
about 7:30 pm on Sunday after greeting his supporters.
The deceased is a PDP member representing Konduga State Constituency
The dreaded Islamic sect Boko Haram sect has claimed responsibility for the
killings.
Meanwhile, the Joint Task Force (JTF) in Borno has urged residents in Borno to
submit their guns and weapon at a designated place by October 31, 2011.
The task force vowed in a statement that anyone who fails to comply to the
directives would be crushed.
