Female banker kidnapped
Women Politics Thursday, March 8th, 2012There was pandemonium yesterday at the Tinubu Estate Road, Isheri North in Lagos , when a female banker (name of the bank withheld) was kidnapped by gunmen. The female banker, Jumoke Oyegbola, wife of the business director, Verdant Zeal Marketing Communications Ltd was abducted at about 9.00pm when she was returning home from work.
The woman, who is the Head of Operations of the Nigerian Aviation Handling Company (NAHCO) branch of the bank was said to have been intercepted by the gunmen before she was abducted at gunpoint.
Her car, a Mitsubishi Montero 2001 Model was abandoned at the scene by her kidnappers.
A family source, who spoke on the condition of anonymity told Daily Sun that nothing was removed from the car by the abductors and that no message had been sent to the family by the gunmen.
A senior police officer at the Isheri Police Division said it was too early to speculate the motive of the abductors, adding: “It may be kidnap case or not. Let us not speculate until 24 hours elapse.
