Two found dead in Ilorin bush, one beheaded
Headlines, Kwara, State News Thursday, June 14th, 2012Lifeless bodies of two men were discovered on Thursday at Sango area of Ilorin, Kwara State.
According to the state Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Fabode Olufemi, two rivalry cult groups, allegedly from Kwara State Polytechnic, clashed on Wednesday night.
Olufemi said when the police were informed about the clash, they intervened.
He stated that surprisingly two dead men were discovered in a nearby bush.
According to him, one of them was beheaded.
He stated that the corpses had been deposited at a mortuary, adding that investigations into the matter had begun.
But the Public Relations Officer of Kwara State Polytechnic, Yunus Abdulkadir, in a telephone interview with our correspondent on Thursday said students of the institution were not involved in the death of the two men.
He added that the corpses were not discovered near the institution.
