Nuhu Ribadu, a laughing stock in PDP – Kwankwaso

KANO – Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has said the widely celebrated defection of the former EFCC chairman, Nuhu Ribadu has earned the status of a laughing stock among PDP stakeholders in Adamawa state.

Mr. Kwankwaso made the remark while receiving merit award from two distinct Non Governmental Oraganization at the Government House, Kano noted that Ribadu’s defection was counterproductive

“After he left the APC for the PDP, his new party did not find him worthy of its gubernatorial ticket. I am sure the PDP stakeholders in Adamawa are now laughing at him. We sympathise with him”, Kwankwaso stated.

Kwankwaso however called on the Adamawa electorate to think wisely and vote for the APC candidate in the impending gubernatorial election in the state, pointing out that “if nothing considering the hardships caused to the state by PDP central government.”

He appealed to Adamawa electorates to pay back good for good, urging them to dump PDP and vote for APC which is ready to bring about positive and realistic changes in the whole country.

“Anybody who voted for PDP, which within five years could not lead the nation rightly has deceived himself,” lamented the governor, pointing out that APC has come up with a credible candidate in person of Senator Muhammad Jibrila Bindaw who can salvage Adamawa state.

He alleged that the Adamawa state PDP chose a candidate whom most of their supporters see as incompetent, hoping that people in the state should opt for APC, describing it as the best party in Nigeria.

Earlier, chairmen of the NGOs Murtala Abdullahi Dass and Habu Ibrahim Fagge appealed to Kwankwaso to declare for the presidential seat come 2015, assuring him of mobilizing Nigerians to support him.

Meanwhile, Governor Kwankwaso has thanked the state APC stakeholders’ effort in mobilizing people across the nation to support his presidential aspiration come 2015 general election. He made known this while meeting with them at Africa House, Kano Government House on Wednesday.

The governor said that most of the people he met at the APC Northwest rally in Sokoto told him that the message has reached them and they are in support of the aspiration. He, therefore, urged the stakeholders to continue enlightening Nigerians until the APC wins the 2015 general elections. He also reiterated that he’s still consulting on the 2015 presidential contest and he will make his decision known to the general public .
