I have no hands in Oyo PDP crisis – First Lady
First Ladies, Headlines, Oyo, Patience Jonathan, State News Tuesday, October 28th, 2014Ben Agande, Abuja.
The first Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan has said that she is neither an elected official of government nor a member of the leadership of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party as such could not have directed that a former governor of Oyo state, Rasheed Ladoja be accomodated by the party in the state.
A national newspaper, (not Vanguard) had reported that the First Lady allegedly requested PDP leaders in Oyo State to accommodate Chief Rashidi Ladoja in the party and to support him to realize his Governorship ambition.
But in a statement Tuesday, the Media Assistant to the first Lady, Ayo Adewuyi said the report was part of an “orchestrated scheme to anchor the political fortunes or survival of certain politicians on a deliberate demonization of the First Lady, Dame (Dr.) Patience Faka Jonathan”.
