Delta students donate N.25m for Uduaghan’s re-election

AS a way of showing their support and confidence in the candidature for Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan for his visionary leadership, Delta State students have contributed the sum of N250, 000 to support him in the re-run election coming soon in the state.

The Delta State students, who made this contribution known in a statement at the end of the Delta State Past Students Leaders/Stakeholders Forum held in Warri, yesterday, said they were supporting Uduaghan because of his peace and security programmes, which they said would open up the state to investors.

The statement  by Mr. Odonghanro Omatseye, Co-ordinator; Mr. Umukoro Stanley, Secretary; and Mr. Donald Iguda, said  they had chosen Uduaghan ahead of other candidates after critically examining their pedigree, abilities and development vision of all candidates for the re-run election and therefore, endorsed him to continue his service to mankind.

“After x-raying the political activities in Delta State as it affects the re-run election, the past students leaders critically examined the pedigree, abilities  and development vision of all candidates for the re-run election and finally chose Uduaghan ahead of other candidates after 10,000  youth/past student leaders and non-leaders alike endorsement,” they added.

“This endorsement is borne out of  the development project embarked by Uduaghan in the past three years (Asaba Airport project, propose Warri Industrial Park, Koko Free Trade Zone, dualization of Ughelli/Asaba road). As intellectuals, we see these projects as bedrock to the development and the placing of the state in the world economic map,” the communique stated.wp_posts
