Senate resumes plenary April 28
Headlines, Legislature, Senate Monday, May 4th, 2020The Clerk of the Senate, Mr Nelson Ayewoh, on Monday announced that the chamber would resume plenary on April 28.
In a statement in Abuja, he said the members are accordingly notified of the resumption date.
“Distinguished senators are by this notice expected to sit in plenary on Tuesday 20th April at 10.00am prompt.
“Staff and senators aides are to work from home and they will be notified when needed in the office for special assignment,” he said.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the Senate had suspended plenary and other legislative activities following the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
However, the COVID-19 lock down order in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Lagos and Ogun states by President Muhammadu Buhari had occasioned the non resumption of the senate on the earlier scheduled date of April 7. (NAN)wp_posts
