Pictures: Flying Officer Tolulope Arotile given full military burial
Air Force, Armed Forces, Headlines, Kogi, State News, Women Politics Thursday, July 23rd, 2020(NNP) Amidst tears, sobbing and sadness, Nigeria’s first female combat pilot, Flying Officer Tolulope Arotile, who died from head injuries suffered in a car accident last week, was buried Thursday in Abuja military cemetery. Among the dignitaries who attended the solemn event were Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Abubakar Sadique; Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Gabriel Olonisakin; Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello and his wife; House Committee Chairman on Air Force, Bala Ib’n Nalla, amongst others. The body of the 24 year-old history-making officer was lowered into the ground at 11:05 am.
