Pictures: Flying Officer Tolulope Arotile given full military burial

(NNP) Amidst tears, sobbing and sadness, Nigeria’s first female combat pilot, Flying Officer Tolulope Arotile, who died from head injuries suffered in a car accident last week, was buried Thursday in Abuja military cemetery. Among the dignitaries who attended the solemn event were Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Abubakar Sadique; Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Gabriel Olonisakin; Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello and his wife; House Committee Chairman on Air Force, Bala Ib’n Nalla, amongst others. The body of the 24 year-old history-making officer was lowered into the ground at 11:05 am.
