Biden wins another state, Arizona, consolidates win over Trump
American Politics, Headlines, NNP News Friday, November 13th, 2020(NNP) The U.S. President-elect, Joe Biden, adds to his electoral vote tally by winning the traditionally Republican state of Arizona. This is the third win by Democrats in the state in 70 years. Biden won the state with over 12,000 votes, thus picking up its 11 electoral votes. This win puts Biden’s electoral vote total to 290, well over the statutory 270 required to win the presidency. Even with this convincing win, Trump has still refused to accept defeat and continues to claim voter fraud as the reason for his loss.
In the meantime, experts and election officials in the 50 states have declared that there is no wide-spread election fraud in any of the states, a fact collaborated by his own administration (Homeland Security Dept.) which stated that this was one of the freest elections in the country’s history. It is unclear when Trump, who has continued to block the president-elect’s transition efforts, will finally accept defeat and congratulate the president-elect.
