Professionals decry insecurity in the South East
Headlines, South-East Saturday, April 16th, 2011
A group under the aegis of South-East and South-South Professionals, on Thursday said that the spate of insecurity in the two zones of the country “has remained a cog in the wheel of progress in the area.”
The body, made up of professionals in various fields of human endeavour, stated that no society in the globe could forge on in an atmosphere of insecurity as currently being experienced in the two geo-political zones.
It noted that the present situation in the South-East and South-South zones had continued to scare investors from the area, but stated that plans were afoot by the group to commence talks with the office of the National Security Adviser to President Goodluck Jonathan, with a view to mapping out strategies on how best to tackle the problem.
