Adeboye’s wife charges Christians against fear of little beginning

THE wife of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Mrs Folu Adeboye, has told Christians not to be fearful of or despise the days of little beginning but to trust in God who is able to do all things in the infinite benevolence.

Mrs Adeboye, popularly addressed as Mummy G.O, gave the charge in an exhortation in Ibadan, Oyo State, on Tuesday, shortly after dedication the state branch of Christ the Redeemer Secondary School, Molete.

She said God, as the master of small beginnings and great tomorrow, would always bestow the grace to achieve good success to those who endured challenges.

She charged RCCG pastors and members in all the provinces to see the new school as a joint project that must so be nurtured, adding that greater rewards await those who contribute towards the success of the school.

“When we walk with the Lord, we need not fear; fear prevents people from seeing the great success ahead. Challenges are normal for glory and success. Between little beginning and success are challenges,” she said.

While praying that the school would turn out products that are worthy in character, learning and moral values, she enjoined the governing board and the management to continue to work for the success of the school.

In an interview, the chairman of the board, Mr Ayo Akinyemi, who disclosed that RCCG had spent about N20 million to give the school, formerly run as Children’s Home School by the Ogunlesi family, a facelift.

Ogunyemi added that the school, which was taken over in October 2010, would be test-run with about 40 students from now till September when a new session would begin.
