Akpabio accepts senatorial nomination form from youths (Paid youth?)

AKWA Ibom State governor, Chief Godswill Akpabio, has heeded to the clarion calls by the people of Akwa Ibom North-West senatorial district to contest for the senatorial seat in 2015, under Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Akpabio, who stated this on Wednesday at Ukana in Essien Udim Local Government Area of the state, when the youth of the senatorial district presented him with PDP nomination form for the forthcoming primaries, at a reception organised by Esop Mbong Ikpaisong Afud Annang, said “I have been under pressure by the people of Ikot Ekpene senatorial district to represent them as a senator in 2015. I want to say that I have accepted the call to serve my people.”

Akpabio commended the youth for their show of love and support to his administration, saying that “Akwa Ibom State is a peaceful place because youths have shunned criminality, they have supported government efforts in the state and this is why we are able to build a state of equal opportunity for all the youth.”

The representative of Ikot Ekpene senatorial district youths, Chief Moses Akpan, while presenting the nomination form to the governor, commended Akpabio for giving Akwa Ibom State a voice at the national level.
