Angola Embassy delays Sunshine’s flight

NIGERIA’S representative in the CAF Champions League, Sunshine Stars have raised alarm that the Angolan Embassy in Abuja is playing pranks with the entry visas to the team.

A statement signed by the club’s team manager, Gabriel Aborowa, stated that since Monday he had been at the Embassy office in Abuja for the visas but as at Wednesday evening, the embassy staff were still tossing him around.

“Our flight was for today’s morning but from the look of things, we might have to travel Thursday night hoping that the embassy will fulfill their promise to release the visas Thursday morning”, he said.

According to the team manager, the management will have to pay extra to reschedule the flight for Thursday morning.

Sunshine Stars are scheduled to play Recraetivo of Angola in the second round of the CAF Champions League on Sunday.
