APGA commends Nigerians for giving Ojukwu befitting burial

Leader of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), in Enugu State, Dr Emmanuel Ozoeneh, has commended Nigerians for giving the late Chief Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu a befitting burial.

Ozoeneh, in a statement on Thursday, said that the late Ndigbo leader was a man whose legacies would endure.

He said that many Nigerians needed to be guided by the principles and philosophy of the late Ikemba Nnewi, saying that his lifetime of selfless service endeared him to Nigerians.

The APGA leader said: “Ojukwu was one of the greatest sons of Nigeria and a leader who inspired a generation of Nigerians to always stand up for justice and equity.”

He further stated that Odumegwu-Ojukwu was an exemplary leader who was able to make difficult choices.

According to him, disciples of the late Odumegwu-Ojukwu, who were scattered across Nigeria, should continue with his legacies and strive at all times to uphold his ideals.

He prayed to God to rant the Ojukwu’s immediate family and his widow, Mrs Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, the fortitude to bear the loss, which, he said, was shared by several other millions of Nigerians.

The politician said:  “As Chief Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu is being committed to his final rest today in his ancestral home, we his followers in the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) have also pledged that we will always be guided by his philosophy of selfless service. We always know that he is a man who would be remembered for his sacrifices for the unity of Nigeria and the extraordinary life he shared with all mankind.”
