Araraume, Okorocha Can’t Beat Ohakim – Nzeribe

The Oguta-born strong   politician and a three-time senator of Federal Republic of Nigeria,  Senator  Francis Arthur   Nzeribe   has boasted that Senator Ifeanyi  Ararume  and Owelle  Rochas  Okorocha, the governorship  candidates  of Action   Congress  of Nigeria (ACN) and  All Progressive  Grand   Alliance (APGA) respectively, lack  the political  capacity to  defeat  the incumbent   governor, Chief  Ikedi Ohakim  in  the forthcoming governorship  election  in the state.

Nzeribe’s  position which is  contained in a statement  issued recently in Owerri titled “  Ikedi Ohakim 2011: Imo state political  gladiators, sheath  your sword,  let bygone  be bygone in the interest  of our poor beloved state” posited   that the  consolidated political  capacity of Senator Ifeanyi Araraume , Owelle Rochas and Dr.  Alex Obi cannot stop Ohkaim’s second term bid.

He urged them to sheath their sword and join hands with the governor to enable him complete his second  term, in  accordance   with the existing  arrangement in the state.

The maverick politician whose wife, Joan Nzeribe was awarded Oguta Chairmabship seat by  the governor to secure his support, also  declared: “  Only the blind   cannot see what  Ohakim has done and will continue  to do, only the deaf cannot hear what Ohakim is doing   presently  and only  the dumb cannot pray to God for Ohakim to  win a second term mandate”.

Nzeribe stated that “ours  in Imo State has always  been eight uninterrupted years  for our elected governors , except  for eras  of military  interregnum. Imo  State has  an excellent  record  in its governorship”.

He maintained that the state has remained a PDP state, stating that no amount of opposition mounted by other political parties would change the voting pattern in the eastern state.
