Bomb rocks Bauchi – Police Station, bank attacked
Bauchi, Boko Haram, State News Friday, July 8th, 2011Bauchi State yesterday had its dose of destruction, as bomb explosions rocked a police station in Ankaleri area of the state. One policeman was killed.
This is coming two days after similar explosions jolted Maiduguri, the Borno State capital.
It was gathered that the explosion occurred at about 4.30pm when gunmen stormed the community in three cars and threw bombs into the police station.
Saturday Sun learnt that after throwing bomb into the police station, the gunmen stormed a bank adjacent the station and carted away money.
After successfully robbing the bank, the gunmen threw money at passersby, as they drove away. No group has taken responsibility for the attack.
