Calls go out for donors for Kalabari (Rivers) Medical Mission 2020
Headlines, Rivers, State News Friday, November 29th, 2019Minapu,
Happy thanksgiving, hope you found plenty things to be thankful for, both big and small.
Planning for the 2020 free Kalabari Medical Mission to our beloved kingdom is in full swing and we need your help! Please consider a tax-deductible donation to support our mission. We hope that you will consider donating this year. The Mission serves ONE purpose to serve the underprivileged and underserved.
We are looking for both donations and volunteers
1. Qualified licensed medical providers: MDs, NPs, PAs, dentist, ophthalmologist, optometrist, surgeons, lab techs and pharmacist
2. Non medical providers for registration and crowd control
3. Surgical supplies-sterile gauze, sterile and non sterile gloves, sutures, scalpel. mask, gowns. shoe covers, surgical shoes for the surgeons
4. Dental supplies-tooth brush, tooth paste, Instruments, etc
5. Tonopen, wood’s lamp, slit lamps, portable ophthalmoscope for cataract extraction. eye drops
6. Office supplies
7. Costco/ Sams size vitamins B, C, D. multivitamin, Folic acid, calcium, B-complex, tylenol, Ibuprofen, Omeprazole, ranitidine, Benadryl, Claritin, tylenol, ibuprofen, glucosamine
8. Think outside the box. We are open and excited to hear other donation ideas.
This is also an opportunity to attend the 18th annual convention of the Kalabari National Association in Port-Harcourt. More importantly, IT WILL BE AN ELECTION YEAR. The KNA EXECUTIVES during their tenure have demonstrated that “Unity is strength”… when there is teamwork and collaboration, wonderful things can be achieved.
New sets of leaders will be elected during the convention in 2020, if you have a vision for KNA, you have to be there to be elected, to actualize your vision so mark your calendar and save the date. Start requesting time off from your employer.
On behalf of the entire KMM committee, I want to thank you in advance for your would be generous donation toward the 2020 medical mission.
Warmly,
Alaro Lawson, Organizer.
