Campus Sex Files (9): Dear Professor Oluchi, they have sacked six lecturers at my university for having sex with female students: Is this a turning point?
Campus Sex Files, Headlines Sunday, August 28th, 2016Dear Professor Oluchi,
I am a 300 level student at Delta State University at Abraka. Recently, the university authorities sacked six lecturers for sexually harassing female students. As a victim of sexual harassment on campus by male lecturers, I applaud the university for taking such brave and bold actions. I and my friends are very surprised at this response by the university. Do you think that Nigerian universities are finally turning the corner on this chronic deviant behaviour of male professors?

Dear Blessing-Somi,
It appears that university authorities have finally woken up to their responsibilities. What happened at DELSU is very encouraging and like you, I commend the authorities for setting an example with these six prowlers parading as professors. It is my hope that this issue is taken very seriously by all university authorities across the country and instil in lecturers that higher education is about quality and integrity not about sex. Let us see how other universities react to this development.
Sincerely,
Professor Oluchiwp_posts
