Crashes reported on Boxing Day

At least two crashes have been reported as Nigerians mark Boxing Day amid an economic crunch and fuel scarcity.

The Federal Road Safety Commission reports on its Facebook page that a Toyota Hiace bus with registration number XE 950 RSH, conveying five males and 10 females, crashed at Banda on Lokoja-Abuja Expressway.

One male passenger and five females were injured in the crash.

In a separate crash, an unidentified vehicle reportedly skidded off the road at a spot on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway and slammed into the bush.

Witnesses said there were fears that none of the occupants survived the crash.

No fewer than 91 persons are reported to have died in separate crashes across the country in the last six days, according to FRSC.wp_posts
