‘Eagles fully motivated to lift CHAN trophy’ (Win your q/finals match first)

Cape Town (S/Africa) – The Coordinator of the Super Eagles, Emmanuel Attah, on Tuesday assured  Nigerians that the Eagles were fully motivated  to lift the trophy of African Nations Championship.

Attah on Tuesday in Cape Town, South Africa, said that the team would strive towards getting the job done on Feb.1.

“Yes the thing right now is that we are seeing the Cup resting in Abuja, the whole players are fully motivated they know that they can do it.

“Beating a whole team with over 30,000 fans behind them is no small feat.

“They never had stage fright; South Africa had a very good team but the boys played with determination; that great Nigerian spirit pushed them on.

“I don’t think any country can stop us now; except God decides otherwise.’’

Attah particularly lauded Coach Stephen Keshi for his management skills which he said made the boys to believe in themselves once more.

“Yes it’s all about the chief coach he knows the way to get the best out of his boys.

“He spoke to them that they should believe in themselves; and know that they are capable of achieving what their seniors achieved over a year ago winning the cup here in South Africa.

“And that there is no magic in football, once you believe in yourself you can do it, you will definitely do it.’’

According to him, the players have fully recovered from their initial setback in the hands of the Malian Eagles, losing 1-2 and that the victory against the host team, Bafana Bafana was their turning point. (NAN)
