EFCC arrests NFF VP
EFCC Politics Monday, May 27th, 2013LAGOS — The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has arrested the Vice President of the Nigerian Football Federation, Mr. Mike Umeh.
According to a statement by the commission’s Acting Head, Media and Publicity, Wilson Uwujaren, Umeh was picked up by operatives of the commission, Monday, in Lagos following a warrant by a Sokoto High Court. He will appear before Justice Bello Abass of the Sokoto High Court today.
Umeh was an alleged accomplice in the case of money laundering and misappropriation of public funds to the tune of N15billion for which former Governor Attahiru Bafarawa of Sokoto State is standing trial.
